Welcome to the Clayton Area EMS Web Site. Our goal is to provide you with useful information about our department and the community that we serve in Johnston County, NC.

Clayton Area EMS has been providing quality emergency medical services since our founding in 1963. It is our mission to provide quality aid and medical care to members of our community. Clayton EMS provides 24 hour coverage to approximately 20,000 citizens of Johnston county covering an area of about 110 square miles. Clayton EMS operates a minimum of three EMS units from our main station in downtown Clayton and an additional unit operated out of Corinth Holders Fire Department.

Clayton EMS employs 20 full time career staff working various schedule rotations. Part time paid and volunteer staff are also instrumental in providing coverage to the community.
